You can also swim with manta rays from May to October. The resort operates on a compulsory meal plan, with daily menus changing regularly. The main restaurant features a casual, open-air, sand-floored dining area. Breakfast is a buffet with a variety of hot dishes, cereals, and a made-to-order omelette station. Lunch is an a la carte menu, while dinner is a multi-course a la carte experience with daily specials. Vegetarian and other special dietary needs can be accommodated. Dormitories: There are both 7-bed and 4-bed dormitories, with shared or en-suite bathrooms. They are air-conditioned and designed for backpackers and solo travelers, with individual beds, reading lamps, and under-bed lockers.
Garden Bures: These traditional bungalows are nestled in the tropical gardens. They are 25 sq m and feature a private outdoor "open-to-the-sky" shower, ceiling fans, and a furnished balcony.
Premium Garden Bures: At 25 sq m, these are larger than the standard Garden Bures, with an authentic Fijian style, a substantial private veranda, and a hammock. They have air conditioning and are closer to the beach.
Beachfront Bures: Situated directly on the beach, these bures are 27 sq m and include air conditioning, an open-air courtyard shower, a furnished balcony, and private sun loungers and a hanging daybed on the beach.
Villas: The resort offers multi-bedroom beachfront villas, including two- and three-bedroom options. They are ideal for families or large groups, offering separate living areas and multiple bathrooms. The largest, the Three-Bedroom Beachfront Villa, can sleep up to nine guests.
Location and How to Get There
Octopus Resort is located on Waya Island in the Yasawa group, approximately 27 nautical miles from the main island of Viti Levu. The primary way to get there is by boat. The resort offers its own transfer boat from Naisoso Marina (near Nadi Airport) which takes just over an hour. Another option is the Yasawa Flyer ferry service, operated by South Sea Cruises, which departs daily from Port Denarau and takes about 2.5 hours. Seaplane and private charters are also available for a faster, more direct journey.
