Malolo Island Fiji is a beach resort located in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji and comprises 46 bures that are colonial in style and reminiscent of the old copra plantation days. Malolos Tia's Treehouse free kids clubs caters for kids 4-12 years old. Tia's Treehouse is set back into the hillside under a giant mango tree. It is filled with lots of equipment and games and a fully fenced playground. Malolohas a unique and innovative kids club program, "YanuYanu". “YanuYanu” is a 7 day program with each day focussing on a different theme ie Marine andNatural Environments, Fijian Culture, Coconut Trees, Tradition, Fijian Food and Arts and Crafts. Some of the activities in which the kids will participate are: herbal medicine and endangeredspecies tours, fish feeding, traditional costume making and face painting, Fijian language lessonsand visits to the local island primary school and neighbouring islands. A private baby sitting service is available at the Resort for F$10 per hour. Kids Eat Free mini buffet lunch (12noon to 1.30pm) & dinner (5.00pm to 6.00pm) served in the Terrace Restaurant daily. Dining facilities at Malolo include the Beach Bar which is a beach cafe style offering fresh salads, gourmet and traditional Pizzas and is open for lunch and dinner. The main restaurant complex is reminiscent of the old plantation home stead with its imposing entrance and wide openVerandahs which overlooks the swimming pools. The Terrace Restaurant is the resort’s main dining facility with a dedicated buffet and seating for over 100 people offering modern Asian and Pacific Rim cuisine. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Each night a different themed buffet including BBQ night and a traditional Lovo night. Treetops Restaurant is located along the verandah at the other side of the restaurant Complex and offers a more formal dining experience. Malolo offers 46 plantation style duplex bure accommodation with high vaulted ceilings. Bures are fully air-conditioned and set amongst lush tropical gardens, and some are only a few lazy steps from the beach and waters edge. Malolo has four different categories including 28 Ocean View Bures, 12 Deluxe Ocean View Bures, 4 Family Bures and 2 Tadra Beach Bures for couples only. All Oceanview and Deluxe Oceanview Bures have a king bed and two single beds, ideal for a family of four or a couple. The Family Bures can sleep up to 7 people, whilst the Tadra Bures have a king bed and two daybeds.All bures come equipped with iron/ironing board, hairdryer, beach towels, plunger tea/coffee, refrigerator, and a safe.
There are 28 Oceanview Bures that are 33 sq metres (355 sq feet) with 14 sq metre verandahs and have 1 x King size bed and two single beds suitable for up to 4 people. All have air-conditioning, fridge, plunger coffee and tea making facilities, ensuite bathroom, overhead fans and verandahs.
There are 12 Deluxe Oceanview Bures, each 50 sq metres (538 sq feet) with 14 sq metre verandahs and have 1 x King size bed in a separate bedroom and two single beds in the spacious living area suitable for up to 4 people (or 5 if the 5th person is an infant in a cot). There are also a select number of these bures where additional bedding can be added to accommodate 5 people, in addition to the infant in a port-a-cot. All have air-conditioning, fridge, plunger coffee and tea making facilities, ensuite bathroom, overhead fans and verandahs.
There are four family bures at Malolo which can sleep up to 7 people. Two are 100sqm (1076sqft) with a 20sqm (215sqft) verandah located in a two story bure. They each comprise 2 bedrooms, each with a King sized bed, one ensuite and one main bathroom accessible from the living area, and 3 single beds also located in the spacious living area. The other two bures are 92sqm (990sqft) in size comprising 2 bedrooms - each with a King sized bed and an ensuite bathroom, and 3 single beds, plus a spacious 18.75sqm verandah (202sqft). All bures are air-conditioned with ceiling fans, fridge, and plunger coffee and tea making facilities.
There are 4 Island Bures, each 33 sq metres (355 sq feet) in a semi open-plan style, with 14 sq metre verandahs, a sumptuous King Bed, plus two single beds in the general living area which convert to daybeds. These bures can accommodate up to 4 people - ideally 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children and have partial or restricted ocean views.
Malolo Resort is located on Malolo Island around 25km west of Nadi airport. You can reach Malolo by a 10 minute seaplane flight directly from the airport, or a 45 minute private water taxi directly from Denarau Marina or the three-times daily scheduled South Sea Cruises fast catamaran (which can take 1-2hrs), also from Denarau Marina
