Whitehaven Beach

Located around 30 minutes from Hamilton Island, Whitehaven Beach stretches over seven kilometres and is famous for its snow white silica sand that is among the purest in the world. The water is generally calm and perfect for swimming although you may need to wear a stinger suit. Daily tours are avaliable from Hamilton Island and Airlie Beach.

The main pool is located at Catseye Beach and is a free form pool with plenty of sun lounges and a swim-up bar. Next to the main pool and Sails Restaurant is the deep Dolphin pool. Airlie Beach is the gateway to the Whitsundays and is located on the Queensland mainland just under an hour by boat from Hamilton Island. The Clownfish Kids Club is open daily and caters for kids aged from 6 months to 12 years. The morning session is from 8am to 12 noon and afternoon from 12 noon to 4pm.
