Aquana Resort, Vanuatu family guide

Aquana Beach Resort is located on a large lagoon with white sandy beaches and surrounded by tropical rainforest located just 10 minutes from Port Vila and 25 minutes from the international airport. There are 16 one and two bedroom units to choose from and plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained.

Family Facilities

With the Vanuatuan women's natural affinity with children and a level of service unmatched by any other resort, the Aquana Resorts Nannies make a holiday at Aquana a paradise for parents. Much more casual than a formal Kid's Club, Aquana's Nannies are on hand at the resort between 7.30am and 9pm to keep children safe, happy and entertained while their parents relax nearby. The Nanny service is free of charge whenever parents are at the resort. Nannies are also available to accompany families on trips outside the resort or for more personalised babysitting in your bungalow at a small additional charge. When there are a lot of children the resort puts together extra fun activities such as sackraces, egg and spoon races, tug of war, marshmallow roasting bonfire on the beach. There is a kids menu available at the main restaurant. Family friendly accommodation with baby cots, high chairs, and baby baths at no additional cost. Children under 12 in 2 bedroom bungalows stay free.

Facilities

Facilities at Aquana include a swimming pool, The Aquana Spa, a volleyball court, table tennis, foosball table, DVD and games library. Aquana provides a free shutle bus daily to Port Vila and has a Tour Desk for booking tours.

Activities

There are plenty of great activities available at Aquana. Snorkelling - some pristine reefs just a short boat ride or kayak from the resort, one of the best surfing spots less than 5 minutes from the resort, kayaking, paddle boarding, island visits, cultural experiences including cultural demonstrations, school and village visits and basket weaving. The resort provides entertainment including fire dancing, trivia nights,and Vanuatu bands and dancing.

Dining

The main restaurant is set over the waters of the Lagoon and is open daily from 7.30 am to 9pm. It offers a daily selection of local and international cuisine prepared using the freshest of locally grown produce including Vanuatus famous organic beef, fresh lobster caught just off Aquana's shore and the delicious deep sea Poulet fish. There is a kids menu available. The poolside bar area has bar snacks and light meals. There is also private dining available - dinner by candlelight outside your Bungalow or overlooking the beach at sunset.

Accommodation

There are 16 air conditioned bungalows all located less tha 30 metres from the beach and most with water views. Each room has room service, free wi-fi, ceiling fans and air conditioning, flat screen TV and bar fridge. Family friendly accommodation with baby cots, high chairs, and baby baths at no additional cost. Children under 12 in 2 bedroom bungalows stay free.
