We decided to
stay in private accommodation this time and found the most incredible villas
called Malaqereqere Villas. They are situated within walking distance to the
Fijian Resort. They are three bedroom three bathroom villas . Downstairs is a
large bedroom with ensuite , lounge with the most gorgeous furniture from
Pacific Green and a fully equip Kitchen. Upstairs is two bedrooms one with a
double bed and the other with two single beds . Also a bathroom with a bath .
There are 4 villas in the complex and the views are incredible. There is also a
great pool , that every villa looks onto. The beach is nothing great as lots of
coral but the Fijian Resort has a great beach area and you are allowed to use
their facilities. The manager is Joe and he is very helpful and will arrange
everything for you and even take you shopping to Sigatoka for food. It is
situated in a lovely village and you can go for a walk thru it and have a great
chat with the locals . The best beach we found in the area is Natadola Beach ,
it is beautiful , blue gorgeous water , white sands and horse riding for the
kids . You need to hire a car but it is well worth it . Loved this holiday as
the villas where luxury plus and if you have a family it is much better value
than the resorts . You can bargain with Joe for a good price . Do it direct
through the Internet. This was another perfect holiday. I'm also glad Wendy took
our advise on the Fruits Of Rarotonga for her holiday to the Cook Islands !!!
