Sea World Resort
Linked by monorail to Sea World theme park,
the newly refurbished Sea World Resort is Australia's only theme
park hotel. Located along 'The Spit' on the glorious Gold Coast
the resort is bordered by clean surf beaches and the calm
Broadwater.
Sea World Resort is a 4½ star resort with 405 hotel rooms
spread over three accommodation wings. Having undergone a
renovation to the Lobby and soft refurbishment in all rooms the
resort now boasts a newer and more modern feel and as always,
the same warm and friendly service. Accommodation rooms boast
new colour schemes, soft furnishings, decor and modern slim line
LCD televisions. Bringing a definite Sea World flavour to the
rooms is the addition of captivating photography of the theme
park's various marine animals.
On entry to the resort lobby, you will experience the
amazing transformation that new tiling, colour, art, furniture
and lighting have made. The new dolphin sculpture in the centre
of the lobby looks great and is a great photo opportunity.
Overall, the entire refurbished space has created a feeling of
openness drawing the eye to focus beyond our glass walls to the
lavish gardens and Broadwater beyond.
Sea World Resort offers many options for dining. There are 5
restaurants and 2 bars located within the resort plus room
service until midnight. Award winning restaurants include: The
Melrose Restaurant (award winning a la carte with a Kids Eat
Free special before 7.30pm); Shoreline Restaurant (for breakfast
and evening buffets); and Hatsuhana Restaurant (delicious
teppanyaki, sushi, and a la carte).
The new $1million WaterPlay is the most exciting addition to
Sea World Resort this year. The first of its kind in any
Australian resort/ hotel, the WaterPlay is a mix of water
slides, spray nozzles, water guns and a giant water-filled
tipping bucket that splashes down to create a mini attraction
within the resort. Its loads of fun and keeps kids and parents
entertained for hours.
Sea World Resort has loads of other recreational and leisure
activities to enjoy during your stay. There's the 50m lagoon
pool, tennis, golf driving nets, spa, sauna, exercise room,
nightly Kid's Club, Intencity Games Room, massage and beauty
plus more. Note some fees and charges do apply.
For something extra special why not try the Meet The
Dolphins and Seal Tour (conditions apply). This exciting and
interactive tour takes you behind the scenes at Sea World before
park opening hours. You'll take part in an informative tour
where you'll actually feed a dolphin and get to meet one of the
playful seals. This and other tours can be booked via the
resort's Tour Desk.
Various room and theme park accommodation packages are
available for your stay at Sea World Resort. Most rooms sleep up
to 4 guests in 2 double beds so it's great value for families on
a budget.
